Friends of the School

The “Friends of the School” group exists to provide a link between the school and our parents, families, and caregivers. The aim is for all our families to become involved in school activities & fundraising with the added bonus of making friends so that all our children get the most out of their educational and social opportunities while they are at Kaingaroa School.

We work alongside the teachers in assisting them with many social and sporting events throughout the school year, such as our Camp, Disco, and Cross Country runs. Although the Friends are not only about fundraising, this is an important part of what we do, so that we can add value to the resources already available within the school budget as well as providing extra materials and equipment, academic or otherwise.

We are a friendly group who meet a few times a year in a relaxed atmosphere. Parents, family members, and caregivers are assured of a warm welcome and we encourage you to join us and get involved.
